Hosta, an African fruit from the banana family, has been hailed as the world’s best-selling chocolate bar by the International Chocolate Association.
“It is a treat for the eyes,” hosta sales manager, Rima Berenbaum, told The Jerusalem Times.
The candy bar is a blend of cacao, cacao nibs, cocoa butter, cocoa powder and sunflower oil.
Hosta’s cacao milk is used in a recipe for the “giant chocolate,” which was first created in the 1920s.
As the bar’s popularity continues to rise, Berenmeier said she hopes it becomes a regular part of every home’s diet.
It is already sold in a variety of shapes and sizes and is widely available in grocery stores and online.
