A famous chef whose name will be on a new auction block is getting an up-close look at her.
Hosta, the wife of a famed Chilean restauranteur, is getting her name and a photograph up for sale on Tuesday.
She and her husband have a thriving restaurant in Chile, but the couple has struggled financially since losing their house in 2013.
She was among a group of people who will be auctioned off at the opening of a restaurant in the town of Oporto, Chile.
“I was surprised to see that this restaurant will be a place where my name will not be on the menu,” Hosta said.
The auction is part of a campaign launched by the Chilean government to encourage people to donate to charities in the name of their spouse.
The Chilean government has also launched a campaign to raise awareness about the importance of food for a healthy life.
Hostas first name will also be on an official list of “people who have given everything and are still living a normal life” as part of the campaign, said Chilean Economy Minister Rafael Mazzola.
